As the Sun starts to disappear we all reach for our favourite bottle of tan to make sure we keep the summer glow all year round! There are 101 tips on how to apply your tan correctly but here are some things to avoid to make sure you get the most natural looking tan this winter.
Top 3 Things to Avoid when Tanning!
- Using Mitt on your face; Fake Tan Mitts are a must but not for your face/hands. We recommend mixing your fake tan with a moisturiser and applying it to your face and hands with a makeup brush. A fluffy buffer brush will do the job perfectly!
- Using Shampoo when rinsing your Tan; This a tip we learnt from the amazing experts at Loving Tan - when you are having your post tanning shower to rinse off the guide colour, do not, we repeat do not shampoo and condition your hair. This can mess with the pH of your skin and cause the tan to become patchy and wear off quicker.
- Shave straight before; All shaving and exfoliating are best-done 24hours before tanning, this gives your skin time to heal and close pores to allow you achieve a more even natural tan!
